Frances Cadek of Caldwell, Kansas died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Sumner Regional Medical Center at the age of 89.
Frances was born the daughter of William Kozak and Anna Rubes Kozak on September 20, 1927.
On April 1, 1945, Alfred and Frances Cadek were united in marriage. Together they celebrated 27 years of marriage before his passing in 1972. To this union they had four children, Shirley, Gary, Linda and David.
Frances a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was most well-known for her cooking and baking; her family always looked forward to her Kolaches at family get togethers.
Survivors include her daughter Shirley Adams of South Haven, Kansas; Linda Norris (Mark) of Wellington, Kansas; and David Cadek (Debbie) of Mayfield, Kansas. Grandchildren, Chris Cadek, Brian Cadek, Stephenie Dugan, Jamie Lockhart, and Jason Cadek, numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfred, son Gary, three sisters and one brother.
Graveside services for Frances will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Czechoslovakian Cemetery west of Caldwell Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in her loving memory to the Sumner Regional Medical Center Endowment Foundation or Caldwell Senior Center. Contributions may be mailed or left with the mortuary.
