Howard Doyle Fisk, 82, retired Insurance Adjuster for National Flood Insurance Program passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Doyle was born the son of Howard Glen and Mildred Gertrude (Oathout) Fisk September 12, 1935 in Grant County, Oklahoma. Doyle graduated from Caldwell High School in 1953. He attended Oklahoma State University and was a member of the wrestling and swim teams.
He left college when drafted into the United States Army on March 17, 1959 to January 31, 1964, during the Vietnam Era. While stationed in California, he met Barbara Berry at a dance and three months later married her. Doyle brought her back to Kansas to reside.
He was a long time member of Riverlawn Christian Church, Wichita, KS.
He was a Midian Shriner with Scottish Rites 3rd degree Knight awarded for exceptional services and Albert Pike Masonic Blue Lodge #303. He enjoyed participating in Shriner's Picnic & Back to School Report Card Day at Joyland Amusement Park, Shriner's Parade, Shriner's Circus & Muscular Dystrophy Clinic affiliated with Shriner's Hospitals for children.
In 1996, he moved to Manomet, Massachusetts. Family was important to him. He would travel to Kansas to spend time with his family. Especially, if he could play golf at the Caldwell Golf Course & Country Club with family or friends. He had a passion for running along the beach & golf. He was very lively & enthusiastic, with a lot of energy & determination and had a lot of different activities & interest. He was exceptional & honorable.
He was preceded in death by parents, Howard Glen & Mildred Gertrude Fisk and sister, Carole Jean Boone.
Survivors include: his sister, Sharon Reed; daughter, Julie Lynn & husband, Luke Betzen and son, Howard Todd Fisk; grandchildren; Kristina Betzen, Ashlee Betzen, Brandon Betzen, Heather Betzen, Jaclyn Betzen & Isabelle Meyers; great-grandchild; Tyler Betzen & numerous family members & friends.
A memorial has been established with Muscular Dystrophy affiliated with Shriner's Hospital for Children and left in care of the mortuary.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Central Christian Church in Caldwell, Kansas.

Sosorry to learn of Doyle's passing. Know he is in a better place where there's. No anguish and pain. Doyle was s kind and loyal person who made every effort to have fond communications with each of my older siblings as tong as they were anle.He was family oriented and loved you all dearly.
