Phillip Steven Scott, 62, machinist for Cox Machine, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his home in Wichita. He was born August 7, 1952 at Wichita, the son of William P. and Betty (Hutsler) Scott.
Growing up Phillip enjoyed remote control cars and putting together model cars. As he grew older his love of cars went from model cars to full size automobiles. He enjoyed working on cars, keeping them running well and meticulously clean.
Phillip was also color blind. He once bought a beautiful gray Polaroid camera, only to find out it was actually pink. It was never seen again.
Phillip is survived by his son, Phillip Steven Scott, Jr. of Edgerton, KS; daughter, Aimee Scott of Gardner, Kansas; sisters, Kristina Ross of Wichita, Ann Satterfield of Haysville, three grandchildren, Tyson, Kennedy and Kassidy and his best friend throughout life, Michael Walker.
The family would like to especially thank Phillip's good friend and caregiver, Dee West, for all the care she has given him.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Schaeffer Mortuary Chapel, Caldwell, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Goodel Cemetery, Drury, KS.
