Shari Beck, passed away on December 7, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born December 5, 1949 to Lester and Norma (Rice) Brown in Mason City, Iowa
Shari grew up in a military home with her mom and step-dad. She met her husband, William Beck, while working on the Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Shari worked as a certified nursing assistant and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her mom, Norma Wagner, father Lester Brown and step-dad, Irving Wagner.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Beck of Eunice, New Mexico; daughter, Traci Mercer and husband Jack of White Deer, TX, son, Wilson Edgell and wife Cheryl of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Kellie Bruns and husband Daryl of Caldwell, KS; grandchildren, Dalen and Trae Mercer, Jessica and Justin Edgell, Stetson Bruns and Kyrste Bruns; great granddaughter, Ainsley, Kenzlee and Ella. She is also survived by her brother Larry Brown and wife Carol of Colorado Springs, CO; other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the Schaeffer Mortuary Chapel in Caldwell, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research or to the Wellington Humane Society and sent in care of the mortuary.
