Wilbert Johnie “Webb” Johnson passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at home in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. He was born in Harper, Kansas, August 13, 1924 to Albert Norval and Stella Elmira (Livingston) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son John Albert, brothers Gilbert, Eldon, Raymond and sisters, Cecil and Iva.
Wilbert married Betty Maxine Mohney, December 23, 1945 in the Corbin Methodist Church, Corbin, Kansas. They spent the next 50 years farming, rearing a family and contributing of their time and talents to the community. In addition to farming, Wilbert was an excellent carpenter and built several houses in the surrounding area. After retiring, they moved to Wellington, Kansas and for the next ten years enjoyed traveling in their RV, gardening, wood working and entertaining friends and family.
Wilbert is survived by his wife of 67 ½ years, Betty; daughter-in-law Ruth of Minneapolis, KS his son Dale (Marilyn) of Russellville, AR; daughter, Wilberta (Kelly) Goff of Tonkawa, OK; grandchildren Jona (Mark), Chad (Alesa), Chris (Jennifer), Lindsi, Shayla (Randy), Clayton (Jeana), Jay (Jill) and seven great-grandchildren.
Webb, as he was known by his loved ones and friends, will be remembered for being a role model of faith, honesty, hard work and devotion to his family. He spent countless hours playing games with his grandchildren and had an endless supply of corny jokes. He will be remembered and missed by all that were blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Corbin, KS. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rose Hill Cemetery, South Haven, Kansas.
Memorials may be given in Webb’s name to the United Methodist Church in Corbin, KS or to the United Methodist Church in Wellington, Kansas

Betty and family (especially Wilberta,) Just want you all to know that we are thinking of you, keeping you in our prayers! I have so many good memories of Webb and also of you,Betty. Lots of good times @ your home with Wilberta and the boys...many memories! Hope that you can remember those good memories now and share them in the future with all the little ones!
